Is LASIK painful?
At Lasik Centers of Canada, patients are required to arrive at the
surgery center at least thirty minutes prior to their appointed surgical time. Valium is
given orally to alleviate any anxiety which may be experienced. Eye drops, not needles,
are used to numb the eyes. The procedure lasts only a few minutes and is not painful. A
common comment is "that was much better than a visit to the dentist. It was more like
a haircut." Postoperatively, drops are used to aid in the healing and prevention of
infection following surgery, patients are to remain in the clinic for an additional thirty

Choosing a surgeon & facility?
When prospective patients are choosing a surgeon and facility a few
questions do arise. Experience is the key. How many procedures has the surgeon performed?
What results were achieved? It is very easy to have a surgery performed by a doctor who
has performed 500 or so procedures. However, if a complication were to occur, would they
know how to treat the problem effectively? At Lasik Centers of Canada, their surgeons have
performed in excess of 8000 primary treatments and have gained a vast wealth of knowledge
to treat any possible complication which may occur. Established in 1991.
Lasik Centers of Canada have treated thousands of patients from both sides of the border
and from all corners of the globe. In fact, well over 94% of patients are enjoying a new
freedom. Freedom from glasses and contact lenses.
