Giving blood can help your heart

A new study suggests giving blood will make you feel good at heart..literally.

Researchers in Finland found that men who donate blood at least once every two
years have a much lower risk of heart attack. Iron may be the reason. Some
experts think excess iron may contribute to heart disease.

Sports Drinks bad for your teath

Those thirst-quenching sports drinks may be sweet to the taste, but they are
getting sour reviews from dentists. A study out of the University of Liverpool
in England finds all of the top-selling brands have enough acid in them to
erode tooth enamel. People are advised not to swish the drinks around in their
mouths.

What's in a coffe mug

And there's disturbing news tonight about the danger lurking in the office
coffee mug. University of Arizona researchers analyzed office coffee mugs and
found more than half of them were tainted with significant amounts of coliform
bacteria. In most cases, the bacteria was traced to the office sponge. And the
clean-looking cups were just as likely to be contaminated as the grimey ones.
